Roy Jay Tweed III of Cedar Hill, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 202 at his home, he was 76 years old.
He was born May 26, 1945 in Greenville, TN to Roy Jay Tweed, Jr. & Lucille Freshour Tweed.
He worked as an Environmentalist for FHI until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Autumn “Sunny” Tweed; brother, Raleigh Tweed.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Tweed, Cedar Hill, TN; sons, Matt (Jordan) Tweed, White House, TN, John (Autumn) Tweed, Knoxville, Tn, and Jason Tweed, Biloxi, MS; daugher, Susan Dyer, Springfield, TN; brothers, Lucas Dean Tweed and Elmer Tweed; sister, Ellen Tweed, all of Greenville, TN; 9 grandchildren.
Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, May 9, 2022 at 1 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House. Interment will follow in Cross Plains Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers and with military honors. Visitation with the family is planned for Monday, May 9, 2022 10 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
