Downtown Springfield to Host Daytime Trick-or-Treating on Halloween

Get ready for a spook-tacular day! The City of Springfield is excited to announce that its annual downtown trick-or-treating event will take place on Thursday, October 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-friendly celebration invites children and their families to explore downtown Springfield and enjoy a day of festive fun with local merchants and businesses.

This year’s event will feature a new element: participants can pick up a passport stamp card from any of the participating businesses. As they visit each business, their cards will be stamped. Once all stamps are collected, participants can return their completed cards to City Hall at 405 North Main Street for a chance to win a prize pack, featuring candy and treats from a variety of participating businesses. Participants can also visit the Springfield Fire Department for a touch-a-truck experience outside City Hall.
