While Adams, Tennessee may seem to be the epicenter for Halloween celebrations because of the Bell Witch, there are actually a number of activities all over the county. Here is a list of eight of those events.

1 Bell Witch Fall Festival

Since the Fall of 2002, as part of the Bell Witch Festival, David Alford’s play “Spirit: The Authentic History of the Bell Witch of Tennessee” has been performed on the grounds of Bell School in Adams, Tennessee. On the land where John Bell settled and the hauntings took place. The festival provides a unique opportunity for amateur and professional actors, musicians and technical staff to use their skills and talents under the direction of experienced directors and producers to bring the tale to life. 2Springfield Robertson County Scair-Port Spooktacular

The event will offer a helicopter candy drop weather permitting, prizes for the best decorated airplane, food trucks, music, a bouncy house and more. A special event tee shirt is available in advance.

35th Annual Halloween Bash

This is a city-wide event for the citizens and surrounding communities of Greenbrier TN. Organizers would like to invite everyone out for a great and spooky time!

4Boo Bash Dash

Cost: $15-$40 

The Boo Bash Dash benefitting CASA is back. It is Springfield’s favorite 5K and one-mile fun run. Runners and walkers can enjoy the fall foliage. The 5K race begins at the ballfields in the back of the park and runs along the Greenway until the 2.5K turn around mark. This is a paved course with only minor elevation, perfect for experienced and beginning runners alike! The 5K will be timed by A Matter of Timing using chipped bibs.  The Fun Run/Walk will not be timed. Parking will be available at the back of the park near the ballfields, in front of the pavilion.  

There will also be a costume contest. It’s Halloween after all!  Everyone wearing a costume will be entered. Prizes will be given for First, Second, and Third place! Bring your friends, bring your kids, bring your dog, and have a little fun while exploring one of the most beautiful walking areas in Robertson County!

5Trick or Treat at Honeysuckle Hill Farm

Ghosts, Goblins, and Ghouls! Oh my! Children 12 and under can dress as their favorite character and Trick or Treat at various locations around the farm. Candy given while supplies last.

6Halloween on the Square

Be a part of the annual tradition of trick-or-treating in downtown Springfield around the square. Look for the “Trick or Treat Here” signs in the windows of participating businesses.
