Taco John’s has launched the Fat Grilled Burrito, a limited-time menu item built from a fan collaboration with content creator Nic Flood, known online as “The Fat Electrician.” The burrito is available at participating locations August 13–27, 2026, for $8.99, with a portion of proceeds benefiting a national charity supporting military members, veterans, first responders, and their families — a nod to Flood’s service as a U.S. Army Combat Medic. How the Fat Grilled Burrito Came to Be
The collaboration began after Flood posted an enthusiastic YouTube video about Taco John’s, which caught the attention of the brand’s culinary team. Rather than a formal endorsement deal, the partnership grew from genuine fan enthusiasm. Taco John’s invited Flood and his friend Zach (@VeteranWithASign) to visit the brand’s headquarters and test kitchen, where Flood worked directly with chefs to develop the new menu item.
What’s Inside the Fat Grilled Burrito
The Fat Grilled Burrito combines grilled chicken, sirloin steak, Potato Olés®, nacho cheese, four-cheese blend, and Chipotle Ranch. The result is a protein-heavy, loaded burrito built around the flavors Flood wanted to see on the menu.
Taco John’s Fan-Driven Menu Innovation
The Fat Grilled Burrito represents a shift toward fan-sourced menu development at Taco John’s. Instead of a traditional celebrity partnership or licensing arrangement, the chain used a real customer connection as the foundation for a new product. The limited-time burrito is available through August 27 at participating Taco John’s locations. Fans can find their nearest location or place an order at TacoJohns.com.
