Springfield’s Free Movie Fridays series returns Friday, Aug. 21, with a showing of “Despicable Me 4” at Martin Luther King Jr. Park.
The movie begins at 7 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the outdoor screening with family and friends.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase during the event. The park’s inclusive playground and splash pad will also remain open until 7 p.m. for visitors to enjoy before the movie begins.
