Rutherford County Jazz Fest Returns This Weekend at The Fountains at Gateway

242

A longtime Middle Tennessee tradition is set to return as Rutherford County prepares for a weekend filled with live music, student performances, and family-friendly fun.

The Rutherford County Jazz Fest will take place May 1-2 at The Fountains at Gateway, continuing a nearly 30-year legacy of showcasing local student talent. The free event will feature performances from middle and high school jazz bands, along with special appearances from ensembles representing Belmont University and Middle Tennessee State University.

Festivities begin Friday at 5 p.m. with nine bands scheduled throughout the evening. On Saturday, performances start at 10:30 a.m. and continue through the day with 14 bands taking the stage.

In addition to live music, attendees can expect exotic car displays, community vendors, and giveaways throughout the weekend. Organizers say the event is designed to bring the community together while highlighting the achievements of young musicians across the region.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the full experience, from daytime performances to evening shows. Admission is free and open to the public.
