The Ducks Unlimited Annual Sportsman’s Banquet and Auction will take place on February 17 at the Robertson County Fair Association Building from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The Fair Building is located at 4635 US Highway 41 in Springfield, Tennessee.

Good friends, wonderful food, a cold beer and a chance to win some great firearms and other merchandise sure to make a camping or hunting trip better. There will be a large assortment of guns for auction, as well as Orvis trekking sets, Yeti coolers, Viper HD binoculars, and a gun safe.

Ducks Unlimited began in 1937 when waterfowl numbers were dwindling caused by drought. A small group of sportsmen decided to do something about it and began a grassroots effort to aid in habitat conservation. Over time, they have become the largest and most effective waterfowl and wetlands conservation organization in the world through the building of partnerships with everyone from individual land owners to government agencies to scientific communities.

Working through small local organizations, they have many events throughout the year in local communities focused on raising the funds to insure the success of their mission “to conserve, restore and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North American waterfowl.”

“Waterfowl conservation is facing important challenges as wetlands and other habitats are being degraded and destroyed across the continent,” says their website. “Ducks Unlimited has a vision to reverse the trend.” Funds from this banquet will be used at the local level to work on high priority areas and use them to leverage additional funds for other resources to address this issue.

There are a number of sponsorship and ticket levels. Sponsorships begin at $275 and go up to $3,000. The $3,000 sponsorship offers naming rights for the event, as well as eight Ducks Unlimited memberships and a table of eight at the event, as well as entry in the gun drawing. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available at the $2,000, $1,500 and $700 levels. To learn more about sponsorships, click here.

Individual tickets to the event are $60, $65 for a couple, and $30 for anyone attending under the age of 17.
