Green will serve as one of the coaches for Season 31 of The Voice, joining Queen Latifah and Joe Jonas for the newly announced The Voice: Celebrity. The special season will replace the show’s usual lineup of undiscovered singers with celebrities from entertainment, sports, social media, comedy and reality television.

Green’s Season 31 appearance will mark his second consecutive turn in a coach’s chair. He is set to make his Voice coaching debut alongside Queen Latifah in Season 30, which premieres Sept. 21 on NBC.

For The Voice: Celebrity, the famous contestants will step outside their usual roles to compete as singers. NBC says the season will offer viewers more behind-the-scenes access, including a “Voice Boot Camp” showing how the celebrities prepare for the Blind Auditions.

Other new features include a “VIP Room,” where contestants can watch fellow performers take the stage, and a “Workroom,” where the celebrity artists will rehearse and prepare for the Battles.

Joe Jonas will round out the coaching panel. While Season 31 will mark his first time as a coach on the U.S. version of The Voice, Jonas previously appeared on the show as a mentor and advisor and served as a coach on The Voice Australia in 2018.

The celebrity contestants for Season 31 have not yet been announced.
