Terry Dale Carlisle, 71, of Cross Plains, passed away on Saturday December 28, 2024, at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday January 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Cross Plains Cemetery with Andrew Scarbrough, Sean Riley Carlisle, Corey Carlisle, Derek Carlisle, Mark Groves, and David Lamm serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Terry was born November 2, 1953, in Springfield, to the late Edward Russell “Bill” and Ola Thomas Bush Carlisle. He worked many years as a police officer, was a retired construction project manager, and was of the Pentecostal faith. Terry was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed participating in many fishing tournaments such as the FLW and the ABA. His twin brother, Jerry, was always by his side and they competed competitively and usually always took home the win.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Mindy Hutchison, and by his siblings: Brenda Joyce Carlisle, Charles Eddie Carlisle, and Billy Wayne Carlisle.
Terry is survived by his son: Terry (Jennifer) Carlisle, Jr., of Nashville, by his daughter: Tonya Carlisle Murray of Springfield, by his twin brother: Jerry Gale Carlisle and wife Tina of Springfield, and by his grandchildren: Chris Carlisle, Jordan “Arson” Carlisle, Bella Taylor, Sean Riley Carlisle, Quincy Taylor, and Colton Hutchison.
If so desired, the family ask that memorial contributions be made payable to Robertson County Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses. Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
