Etta Sue Casey, age 79 of Springfield, passed from this life on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Cemetery with Robert McGarvey, Jesse McGarvey, Brandon Day, Sinjin Clinard, Jason Jernigan, and Pedro Robles serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of service.

Mrs. Casey was born January 19, 1946 in Springfield to the late Lawrence Coleman Prince and Mossie Lee Heatherly Prince. She was a member of Highland Chapel Baptist Church and retired from H.A.T.S. where she had worked for 45 years and was heavily involved in their effort and also was a big supporter of Special Olympics.

She enjoyed raising flowers and fish in her aquarium. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, and scrap booking. Probably the thing she enjoyed the most was playing with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Sue was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Cora Lee Arnold, Elizabeth Johnson, Dotsie Leftrick, and Wayne Prince.

Surviving her are her husband of 62 years, Paul Casey of Springfield; son, Paul James Casey II of Russellville, KY; daughters, Denise (Dannie) Phipps and Kim (Robert) McGarvey, all of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, Amberly Bilyeu, Jesse McGarvey, Katie McGarvey, Tabitha Jernigan, and Jason (Twana) Jernigan; great grandchildren, Alayna Dale, Brandon Day, Carter Robles, Aiden Bilyeu, Chali Elmore, Sarah Jo Goodson, James Casey, Kayla Davis, and Krista Colson; and great-great grandchildren, Braxton Dole, Bentley Dole, Braydon Colson, and Emmit Colson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Robertson County Funeral Home.
