OBITUARY: Shirley Stuard Wehrenberg

Shirley Stuard Wehrenberg, age 94 of Adams, passed from this life on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Tristar NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 27, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood cemetery with Bro. Adam Branscomb officiating and Christopher Stuard, Cody Stuard, Jason Stuard, David Stuard, Khalil Stuard, Skylar Stuard, Kaleb Stuard, and Braedyn Hogan serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Stuard, Cameron Stuard, and Colton Bryant. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 AM until the time of service.

Mrs. Shirley was born April 4, 1931 in Hendersonville to the late William Walter and Cora Mae Martin Carver. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Clarksville and was a retired school teacher with the Robertson County Board of Education. She was a godly, family woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and seeing them accept Christ into their lives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard M. “Dick” Stuard and John Matthew Wehrenberg; brothers, Andrew, Homer, and Harvey Carver; and sisters, Effie Jackson, Ella Jones, Etta Cole, and Callie Forrest.

Surviving her are her sons, Richard M. (Kathy) Stuard of Clarksville, Ronald L. Stuard of Johnson City, Larry D. (Cathy) Stuard of Adams, and Phillip D. (Terry) Stuard of Adams; grandchildren, Blake (Meg) Stuard, Makenzie (Adam) Bryant, Cody Stuard, Christopher (Chanin) Stuard, Jason Stuard, Amanda Cook, and David (Dee) Stuard; and 19 great grandchildren.

The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
