William Ronald Watts “Ronnie”, age 84, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o’clock pm, Wednesday, January 15th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Randy Hester officiating.
Burial will follow in Mallory’s Cemetery in Chapmansboro with Glenn Watts, Derek Dwyer, Dustin Walker, Jacob Dwyer, Jason Huff, Ryan Huff, and Mike Huff serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Walker, Eric Dwyer, Spanky Spicer, Chris Dutton, Brian Felts, Scotty Cook, and Jeremy Muzzall.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 14th from 6:00-8:00PM, and again on Wednesday beginning at 11:00AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.
Mr. Watts was born on August 13, 1940, in Robertson County, Tennessee, to the late James M. and Martha Elizabeth Holt Watts. He was a retired truck driver from Swift Independent Packing. He loved watching UT Athletics, hunting, fishing, yard work, and working in his vegetable garden. He was a member of Mallory’s Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth & Danny Watts; and sons-in-law, Wayne Reeves & Bubba Douglas.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jackie Watts; son, Glenn Watts; daughters, Dawn Douglas, Angela (Mike) Huff, and Lisa Fleming; brother, Gary Watts; grandchildren, Derek (Niki) Dwyer, Dustin Walker, Jacob Dwyer, Jason (Brittany) Huff, and Ryan Huff; and great-grandchildren, Carson, Whitley, & Riggins Dwyer, Jaxten & Berkley Dwyer, and Aiden, Connor, & Nova Huff.
