Patricia Whitaker Farmer, 78, of Springfield, passed from this life on Monday November 3, 2025, at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Friday November 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakland Cemetery with Toby Mendenhall, Jr., Benjamin Mendenhall, Gary Whitaker, Kevin Whitaker, Darren Hallman, and David Mendenhall serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday November 7th at the Robertson County Funeral Home.
Patricia was born June 15, 1947, in Springfield, to the late Jessie and Ruth Nixon Whitaker. She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1967 and was of the Baptist faith. Patricia worked many years at Southern Hills in Springfield, and then worked as a Quality Assurance Technician at Collins Aikman in Springfield. She loved sewing, traveling, and making porcelain dolls. Patricia’s favorite pastime in life was spending time with her family, especially all of her nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Glendon Whitaker. Patricia is survived by her sister and brother-in-law: Karen and David Mendenhall of Springfield, by her nephews: Mathew Mendenhall, Toby Mendenhall, Jr., Benjamin Mendenhall, Gary Whitaker, and Kevin Whitaker, by her sister-in-law: Linda Whitaker of Springfield, and by a host of great nieces and nephews.
