Myra Jean Hester, age 67 of Cedar Hill passed from this life on June 3, 2025, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Tyler Estep and Eddie Bellar officiating. Entombment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Jimmy Ayers, Mike Clinard, David Smallwood, Jake Baird, Tommy Cambell, and Donavin Tucker serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Corn and Malcom Meadows.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 11 AM until the time of service.

Mrs. Hester was born on September 6, 1957, in Springfield to the late Sammy Chancey and Ada Zane Allen Woodruff. She was a Christian lady who loved the Lord and was a member of Red River Baptist Church. In 2010, after 28 years as a Mortgage loan officer, she quit work to take care of her grandchildren whom she loved very much. In her free time, she enjoyed birds, flowers, cross stitching, camping, and fishing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Royce Dean Woodruff and Jerry Lynn Woodruff. Surviving her are her husband, Jackie Hester of Cedar Hill to whom she would have been married to 50 years on December 26, 2025; daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal and Nick Bryant of Greenbrier and Katie and Ian Atwood of Springfield; and grandchildren, Hailey and Hattie Bryant, and Levi, Isaac, and Asher Atwood.

The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to be made to Red River Baptist Church Mission Fund. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
