Michael Wade Bay, age 65, of Old Hickory, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025 at his home. Graveside services will be conducted at 11am Friday, November 7th in the Bellwood Cemetery with Jamie Lewis officiating.
Mr. Bay was born November 14, 1959, in Davidson County, to the late Willie Bee Bay, and the late Ruby Lee McMurtry Bay. He was a Baker and managed several Bakeries for local grocery stores throughout his career.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bay was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Earl and Edna Bay Sr.; maternal grandparents, Luther L. and Matty McMurtry; aunts, Sandra Faye McMurtry, Genevia Bradshaw and Dorothy Bay; and uncles, Charles Bay and Earl Bay Jr.
He is survived by brothers, Gary Wayne (Becky) Bay and Keith William Bay; sister, Sandra Elizabeth (Frank) Hoilman; aunts, Juanita Stephenson and Peggy Bay; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
