Ludell Christine Bourne, age 86, of Adams, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Tuesday, October 21st, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield, with Isaac Bourne officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellwood Cemetery in Adams with Donald Wayne Hobgood, Wyatt Hobgood, Westin Hobgood, Rudy Farmer, Lincoln Farmer, Isaac Bourne, Chase Covington, Buddy Bourne, and Bobby Ogg, Jr. serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 2-7pm Monday, and again from 10am until time of the service at 1pm Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bourne was born on March 30, 1939, in Stroudsville, TN, to the late Emmett Pittman Ogg, and the late Della Mitchell Ogg. She graduated from Jo Byrns High School in 1958 and was voted most athletic. Mrs. Bourne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was so proud of her family. Mrs. Bourne had a true servant’s heart and was a devoted and faithful member of Adams Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bourne was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bourne; sisters, Dot Ogg and Marion Ogg; and brothers, Willard Ogg and Wayne Ogg.
She is survived by son, Mark (Patti) Bourne; daughters, Donna (Eddie) Hobgood, Marcia (Tim) Farmer, Deborah (Bob) Strasser, and Denise (Chris) Covington; 10 grandchildren, Donald Wayne (Aimee) Hobgood, Marie (Jake) Resha, Rudy Farmer, Lincoln Farmer, Scarlett Farmer, Isaac (Brittney) Bourne, Rebecca (Cody) Wilkerson, Olivia Strasser, Danielle Covington, and Chase Covington; 8 great grandchildren, Wyatt Hobgood, Westin Hobgood, Ella Resha, Emmett Bourne, Gia Bourne, Kingston Lewis, Princeton Lewis, and Nevaeh Lewis; brother, Bob Ogg Sr.; sister, Patsy (John) Herron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
