Frances Louise Dorris, age 87 of Orlinda, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday July 19, 2025, at Stoneridge Healthcare. Funeral services will be held on Friday July 25, 2025, at 12 pm in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Lance Wamble officiating. Burial will follow in the Cross Plains Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10 am until 12 pm.
Mrs. Dorris was born March 19, 1938, in Cross Plains, Tennessee to the late Ernest Zelma and Corrine Thaxton Moses. Her husband, Vadis Cleo Dorris and sons, Dennis Dorris and Danny Dorris also preceded her in death. She was a member of Orlinda Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching old Westerns, listening to classic country music, reading, cooking and quilting and all things Elvis but all that took a backseat to her grandchildren whom she loved especially deeply.
Surviving her are her son, Chad Dorris of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, April and Jeff Owens of Franklin, KY, daughter-in-law Karen Dorris of Greenbrier and grandchildren, Corinne Owens, Hunter Owens, Kaylee Crabtree and Corey Dorris.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Orlinda Baptist Church. All donations may be sent care of the Robertson County Funeral Home.
