Larry Donavin Taylor, 76, of Springfield, CA, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Nashville, TN.
Larry was born March 11, 1950, in Yuba City, CA, to the late Robert William and Dolores Louise Hudson Taylor.
He attended Greenridge Church of Christ, was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army, served in the California National Guard, and worked for the United States Air Force Civil Service.
He was a member of the VFW, NRA, and DAV. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and bowling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharron Coleman and Katherine Gebczyk.
Surviving him are his wife, Cathy Taylor of Springfield, CA; son, Shawn Taylor of Springfield; daughter, Dawn (Michael) Shye of Coopertown, TN; grandchildren, Nicole Sisco, Donavin Taylor, Alexsea Shye, and Kaydenze Shye; and sister, Connie (Gail) Bartell of Ashland City, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11 AM, in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Jack Martin officiating.
Burial will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 1 PM, in the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Taylor, Donavin Taylor, Michael Shye, Justin Callis, D.J. Hale, and Jim Rice.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 PM until 7 PM, and Friday from 10 AM until the time of service.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project or Make A Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
