Joshua Anthony Nolasco, age 30, of Springfield, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2025.
Born on June 30, 1995, in Bakersfield, California, Joshua lived a life marked by academic excellence, professional dedication, and unwavering kindness.
A proud graduate of Cal State University, Los Angeles, Joshua earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an option in Accounting in 2018. While at CSULA, he was deeply involved in campus leadership, serving as Chair of the University Student Union Board of Directors and as an active member of Beta Alpha Psi, the national honor society for accounting, finance, and information systems. He was also a proud brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, where he held several leadership positions, including Eminent Deputy Archon, Eminent Treasurer, Eminent Recorder, and Social Chair. Joshua later went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.
Joshua pursued his passion for accounting as a valued member of Brown, Brown & Associates, where he worked diligently toward becoming a CPA. His family fondly recalls that “doing taxes” became more than a career path – it was a hobby he genuinely enjoyed.
Beyond his professional and academic accomplishments, Josh loved playing baseball and football, gaming on PlayStation, practicing Jiu-Jitsu, and cheering for his favorite teams – Notre Dame and the Indianapolis Colts. He especially enjoyed Fantasy Football and even started a league with his coworkers at Brown & Brown. In 2025, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Springfield Rotary Club. Joshua was also honored to be selected as a welcomer for the Notre Dame Club of Nashville, a role that reflected his spirit of hospitality and pride in his alma mater.
A man of faith, Joshua was baptized at Springfield Baptist Church on December 29, 2024. Known for his humor, warm personality, and boundless energy, he never met a stranger and was loved for his “jokester” spirit.
Joshua is survived by his loving mother, Maribel Hinojosa; his brother, Noah James Vigil; his maternal grandmother, Maria Hinojosa; his paternal grandparents, Salvador and Leila Nolasco; and a host of family and friends who will deeply miss him.
A funeral service will be held at The Ark Montebello in Montebello, California, officiated by Pastor Pancho Juarez. Joshua will be laid to rest at Cedar Grove Cemetery at Notre Dame.
