Johnny B. “Jon” Brooks, age 79 of Springfield went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 16, 2025 at his home. He was born April 4, 1945 in Springfield, TN to Buford & Ida Graves Brooks. He worked as an electrician for Wright Industries until his retirement and was a member of The Church at Grace Park.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and he enjoyed eating good food. He was very kindhearted, thoughtful, reserved, a man of few words but a man with a very strong faith. People listened when he spoke. He loved his late wife with all his heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Faye Brooks; sister, Joanne Pendleton.
He is survived by his son, Kendall (Kelle) Brooks, Cape Coral, FL; daughters, Ashlea Lamberth, Springfield, TN and A’lyce (Jason) Ashman, Franklin, TN; sisters, Peggy Douglas, Irmo, SC, Judy (Randy) Bracey, Greenville, SC and Jean Gower, Goodletsville, TN; 8 grandchildren, Kylan, Kenton, Makensie, Mallorie, Maura, Cade, Cavin and Carris; 2 great-grandchildren, Anderson and Lou.
Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11AM in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Bob Cook officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with Kylan Brooks, Kenton Brooks, Cade Ashman, Cavin Ashman, Jason Ashman and Jacob LeQuire serving as pallbearers.
Visitation is planned for Friday, March 21, 2025 6-8PM and Saturday, March 22, 2025 10-11AM at the funeral home.
