John Revitte Obit

John William Revitte, Sr., age 94, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. John, son of the late James Revitte and Frances Kaukas, was born August 16, 1930, in Detroit, MI.

After finishing school, he joined the United States Air Force, along with serving in the United States Army Reserves and the Civil Service. He later retired from working with the Robertson County School District as a bus driver.

John was a devout Christian and was active at Springfield Baptist Church. He also was a member of The Gideons International. He especially loved spending time with family. His hobbies included golf and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by wife, Arliene Revitte, of 45 years, brothers, James Laird and Robert Lee Kaukas, sisters, Barbara Jelienewski, Carol Mason and Margaret Buczkawski, son-in-law, Thomas Cropper, and brother-in-law, Randy Pike.

Surviving are his children, Ruth Cropper, Cookeville, TN, Jacki (Kevin) Denney, Homeland, CA, John (Pam) Revitte, Jr., San Diego, CA, Linda Bentley, West Palm Beach, FL, Jeannie Olsen, Davenport, IA, Kathy (Michael) Tuckey, St. Louis, MO, and Johnny (Donna) Crawford, Pheonix, AZ.

Grandchildren, Carla (Carlos) Haynes, Janey Richardville, Shawn (Tonya) Cason, Matt (Michelle) Denney, Brandi (Brian) Green, Tara (Charles) England, Joe (Karen) Revitte, Jessica (Ben) Soto, Katelyn (David) Baker, Bryce (Verena) Crawford, Bill (Kelly) Crawford, Steven (Tina) Gaskin, Kevin (Karen) Gaskin, Marc (Angie) Gaskin, JC Seymour, Lauren (Steven) Drake, Ryan (Katelyn) Tuckey, and Brendan (Jakki) Tuckey.

John was blessed with 40 great-grandkids and 8 great, great-grandkids. Three sisters, Addein Pike, Sharon (Sam) Coronett, and Mary Jo (Chuck) Cianciaruso. Along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for John Revitte, Sr., will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Springfield, TN, on Wednesday, May 21, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, and Thursday, May 22, at 11:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 12:00PM, with Pastor David Evans officiating. Graveside services to follow.
