James Herbert Price, Jr. age 75 of Cross Plains passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at his home. He was born April 21, 1950, in San Antonio, TX to James Herbert & Clare Bell Goode Price.
He worked as a musician and songwriter, with the ability to play many instruments. He was an avid golfer and Tennessee Titans fan. He had many cats and loved his animals, especially his dog Wimpey. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Patricia Karen Bunch Price; brother, Michael; sister, Sue Ellen. He is survived by his step-sons, Rusty (Christine) Archer, Pueblo, CO, Robin Archer, White House, TN and Randy (Cathy) Archer, Mesa, AZ; brother, John (Sharon) Price; 8 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
It was Mr. Price’s wishes to be cremated and his ashes placed, along with his wife’s, in the columbarium at Hillcrest Cemetery in White House.
