Francis “Sharon” Mitchell Holston, 76, loving wife of Dr. Robert George Holston Sr. passed into her final sunset on August 19, 2025 in Nashville, TN.
A Celebration of Life will be at the Holston Family Clinic, Cross Plains, TN on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm.
Sharon’s first Sunrise was on November 26, 1948 when she took her first breath with her parents Frank Knox Mitchell & Marjorie (Aaron) Mitchell in Rotan, Tx. She was raised with her younger sister Barbara Ann Mitchell Swan in Roby, TX. Sharon enjoyed her youth playing basketball & being a majorette for the Roby Lions. She graduated from Roby High School in 1967.
She attended West Texas State University where she met the other half of her soul. Robert “Bob” Holston saw the prettiest legs he ever laid eyes on & they married August 9, 1968 in Roby, Tx.
Sharon had a glorious & amazing reunion Tuesday afternoon when she joined her loving parents, sister, brother n law, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins & nephew at the pearly gates.
Sharon leaves her greatest gifts of love to honor her life being her husband of 57 years Dr. Robert G. Holston; 4 children, Michelle Holston Tiernan and husband Tim Tiernan, Robert G. Holston Jr and wife Barri (Robison) Holston, Jeremy F. Holston and wife Ginda (West) Holston, Jennifer Holston Waid and husband Adam Waid, and nephew Richard Johnson.
She was blessed to leave a legacy of 10 grandloves, Mitchell, Chelsea, Kanyon and Kalina Short, Barrett and Knox Holston, Tyler and Stella Holston, and Ryan and Mac Luckett. She was extra blessed to leave 2 great grandloves Kobe & Kaia Hopkins. She will be deeply cherished, loved & missed until we join her 1 by 1. Until then…Tap, Tap, Tap!!!
