Ervin Murry Brown, 88, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday September 30, 2025, at Skyline Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday October 4th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Ervin Brown, Jr., Mark Drexler, Brent Drexler, Randy Riggins, Duane Riggins, Levi Riggins, and Dylan Riggins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Dean Shelton. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown was born July 18, 1937, in Sugar Tree, TN, to the late Jasper Davis and Artie Mae Miller Brown. He was a retired Master Mechanic. Mr. Brown loved to watch football and was an avid Rodeo fan. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch with his dog Dixie, and riding around the countryside with his wife. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Mildred L. Brown, by his bonus son: Paul Riggins, by his brother: Dave Brown, and by his sister: Anna Lou Duke.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife: Linda Brown of Springfield, by his son: Ervin M. Brown, Jr. and wife Betty of Nashville, by his daughters: Tina Louise Shelton and husband Dean of Nashville, Tonia Mae Drexler and husband Mark of Springfield, by his bonus sons: Jeff Riggins of South Dakota, Randy Riggins of Smyrna, Duane Riggins and wife Amy of Pleasant Shade, by his grandchildren: Brandi Almeida and husband Rafael, and Brent Drexler, by his great grandchildren: Ramon and Marcos Almeida, by his six bonus grandchildren, by his five bonus great grandchildren, and by his sisters: Ruby Jane Peal of Goodlettsville and Joan Rigsby of Chattanooga.
