Elena Jean Stephens, 71, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Elena was born in East Peoria, IL on November 19, 1954, daughter to the late Joseph & Mildred Hendon.
Elena will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She dedicated many years to her career as a hairstylist and instructor, where she enjoyed helping others look and feel their best. Her warmth, compassion, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Eddie Stephens, children, Larry McCandless, daughter, Samantha Amanda (Roger) Reed, grandchildren, Lily & Evie Reed & Burgandy McCandless, along with family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
The family will hold a private funeral service.
