OBITUARY: Dennis Dwayne Gray

Dennis Dwayne Gray, age 65 of Greenbrier, passed away Thursday, April 17th, 2025 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. There are no services planned at this time. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier is in charge of arrangements.

Dennis was born November 14, 1959 in Tampa, FL to the late Walter Freeman and Hazel Ann Carpenter Gray. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter Freeman Gray, Jr., and father-in-law, Bruce Alexander Welch. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen Adelia Burns Gray; children, Neely Gray, Mari Beth Gray, Mark Gray, Nick (Ashton) Gray; grandchildren, Isabella Wade, Sailor Gray (one on the way); brother David (Kathy) Gray; sister, Vickie Kimzey and mother-in-law, Zan M. Welch.

He was employed as a Security Technician for a Security company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, building things and cooking. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
