Caleb Gage Lawson, 29, of Aberdeen, NC, and formerly of Springfield, TN, was called home to his Lord on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
Caleb was born on June 28, 1997, in Nashville, TN, to Casey Lawson and Jennifer Brewer Lawson. From a young age, Caleb enjoyed playing football, developing a love of competition, camaraderie, and being part of a team. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge.
Following his military service, Caleb worked as a corrections officer for the State of Tennessee. He approached his work with dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.
Above all, Caleb was a Christian man whose faith and values were an important part of his life. He was known for his fun-loving personality, quick sense of humor, and ability to make those around him laugh. Caleb was a natural joker who brought joy and lightheartedness to the people fortunate enough to know him.
He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. Caleb also loved animals and nature, finding peace and enjoyment in the simple beauty of the world around him.
Caleb will be remembered for his strong faith, loving spirit, sense of humor, and the many lives he touched during his 29 years. Though his time here was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Caleb leaves behind his sisters: Rachel Gaston, Samantha Boone and Katelyn Haley and brother CJ Lawson. He is survived by his grandmother Sherrie Hughey and grandfather Donnie Lawson. Caleb was the uncle of Paisley, Daniel and Amy – Eileen.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
