Bobby Reece Woodward, age 87, of Springfield, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
Bobby was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from the railroad after working for more than 30 years. He loved all things Cowboy and Western; everything from music to movies and books. He loved guns, going to gun shows, and he was a very good shot.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Garnet Bright Woodward; son, James Reece Woodward; parents, James and Louise Woodward; and his brothers, Jackie Woodward, Frank Woodward, and Billy Woodward.
He is survived by his daughters, Angela (Jody) Smith, Michelle Woodward; grandchildren, Bethany (Drew) Rust, Olivia (Josh) Leonhardt, Brittany (John) Bennett, Felix James (Serena) Riggs, III, Bailey Long, Brenna Smith; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 9th, at the Biereley-Hale Chapel. Rev. Gary Duncan will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Little Toqua Cemetery in Vonore. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 8th, at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
