Betty Louise Hopkins Akins, age 82, of Springfield, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Mrs. Akins was born on October 3, 1941, in Huntsville, Alabama, to the late Ruben & Mattie Maddle Hopkins.
She was a homemaker and a member of Martins Chapel Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Akins; a son, Bobby Akin; great-granddaughter, Mattie Akins: 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Terry Akins and Timmy (Carol Ann) Akins; daughter, Tammy (Eddie) Arnold; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 10th, with Bro. Kenny Hix officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham with her son, Timmy Akins, and Tanner Landrum, Brandon Landrum, Eddie Arnold, Corey Richardson, Leslie Richardson serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM.
