Betty Joyce Parker Bush, 92, of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday August 28th at 12 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenbrier Cemetery with Kevin Bush, Kevin Bush, Jr., Ronnie Jones, Donnie Jones, Kyle Walker, Joe Yount, and James Foster serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Ms. Betty was born May 24, 1934, in Greenbrier, to the late Ned and Cecelia Pittman Parker. She was a graduate of Greenbrier High School and was a member of Ebenezar Baptist Church. Ms. Betty worked for National Life Insurance for over 30 years and then retired as a teller with Old Hickory Credit Union. She loved being a grandmother, rocking in her rocking chair, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: J.L. Bush, and by her sisters: Geraldine Hulsey and Mary Adcock. Ms. Betty is survived by her son: Kevin Jay (Lori D.) Bush of Greenbrier, by her 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
