Betty Jean Richter Thieme, age 90 of Goodlettsville, TN passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Brookdale Goodlettsville.
A Graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025 at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with Bro. Harvey Ambrose officiating.
The family will receive friends 5pm to 7pm on Monday, June 23rd at Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 2619 Hwy 41S, Greenbrier, TN.
Betty was born October 20, 1934 in Memphis, TN to the late Edwin Michael and Hettie Meek Richter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne Allen Thieme; brother, Robert Richter; sister, Caroline McNulty; son-in-law, Jesse Lavern Allen; granddaughter, Grace Ambrose and great-grandson, Samuel Curley.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Knoxville, TN.
She is survived by son, David Thieme of Montrose, CO; daughters, Carol Allen of Goodlettsville, TN, Janet (Harvey) Ambrose of Bowling Green, KY; brother, Ed Richter of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Virginia (Bryce) Harman, Carol (Daniel) Curley, James (Rachel) Ambrose, Emily (Mike) Low, Heather (Michael) Hoover; great grandchildren, Evelyn Ambrose, James Ambrose, Piper Ambrose, Archer Ambrose, Percy Harman, Jude Harman, Winnye Curley, Mable Curley, Jesse Michael Curley, Bonnie Curley, Beverly Curley, Marshall Lavern Hoover and a host of other relatives and friends.
