Barbara Frances Spicer West, 78, of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday February 7, 2025, at Skyline Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday February 13th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jeff Dean, Austin Dean, Chris Osborne, Greyson Osborne, Flynt Grayson, and Thomas Powell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Barbara was born October 15, 1946, in Crestline, OH, to the late D.L. and Anna Laura Baird Spicer. She was a retired cafeteria manager from Springfield High School and was a member of North Springfield Baptist Church. Barbara loved cooking and being outside mowing her yard and working in her flower garden. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Tina West, and by her son: Chase West. Barbara is survived by her husband of 61 years: Ronnie West of Springfield, by her daughters: Tanya West Powell and husband Thomas, Trixie West Dean and husband Jeff, and Tracy West Smith all of Springfield, by her grandchildren: Ashley (Chris) Osborne, Austin (Chelsea) Dean, Autumn (Flynt) Grayson, Addy Pratt, Weston Smith, Lilly Smith, and Taylor (Dillon) Sons, by her seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, and by her brother: Leonard Spicer of Springfield.
