Anne Dare Brown Haynes, age 89, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Vantage Pointe Village Assisted Living in Ashland City.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Thursday, February 13th, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield, with Bro. Joe Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with Jay Holman, Alan Holman, Andrew Larson, Edison Guthrie, Dee Goad, and Donnie King serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 4-7pm Wednesday, and again from 12-2pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Ms. Haynes was born June 13, 1935, in Nashville, to the late James Woodard (J. W.) Brown II, and the late Sarah Elizabeth Holmes Brown. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a double major in Drama and Education, and worked as a Librarian with the Robertson County School System most of her life.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Haynes was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Brown Tune.
She is survived by her daughter, Allison Anne Haynes Holman; and 2 grandsons, Jerry David Holman Jr. ( Jay and Libby), and Alan Haynes Holman.
