Ann “Betty” Elizabeth Crawford King, age 86 of White House went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 2, 2024.
She was born May 21, 1938 in Goodlettsville, TN to Amos & Ann Catherine Crawford.
She worked at Vanderbilt University until her retirement after 42 years of service and was a dedicated Vandy fan. She was a member of Calvary Chapel at Long Hollow and loved her church family very much. She loved studying God’s Word and spending time with her family more than anything else.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter King; and sister Barbara Crawford Jamieson.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Pat) King, Nashville, TN; daughter, Penny (Ricky) Fitzgerald, Cottontown, TN; sister, Sandra Crawford, Hendersonville, TN; 4 grandchildren, Davis King, Erin (Tyler) Beaudoin, Sarah Fitzgerald, and Mary (Brad) Anderson; 4 great-grandchildren, TK, Stratton, and Cade Beaudoin, and Lucy Ann Anderson.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Jerry McAnulty officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with Davis King, Bob Jamieson, Mark Jamieson, Ed Jamieson, Jeff Hatcher, and Chris Madish serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Friday, December 6, 2024 4 pm-7 pm and Saturday, December 7, 2024 10 am-12 pm at the funeral home.
