Altha Marie Smith, age 82 of Cottontown passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Skyline Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1943 in Ashland City, TN to Robert & Mary Frances Louallen Mitchell. She worked as a homemaker and was of the Church of Christ faith. She enjoyed farm life riding horses and raising her four children.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Boyd Smith; son, Anthony Boyd Smith; 2 sisters, Shirley Sanders and Sandra Carroll; brothers, Ed Mitchell and J.R. Mitchell.
She is survived by her son, William (Elka) Smith, Cottontown, TN; daughters, Lorri Brown, Cottontown, TN and Lisa Henson, Portland, TN; grandchild, Crystal Henson; 2 great-grandchildren, Safiyah Attan and Shiloh Attan.
Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Morris Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation is planned for Wednesday, November 12, 2025 4-8pm and Thursday, November 13, 2025 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
