Hundreds of people gathered at the Robertson County Fairgrounds for the third annual Robertson County Recovery Fest, which featured the inaugural Recovery Rumble wrestling event.
The event brought live matches from Legendary Wrestling Alliance alongside food, live music, a kids zone, vendors and local recovery resources.
Organizers said the wrestling event was added to give the community another way to connect while celebrating people in recovery.
“We wanted to bring something fun and unique to Recovery Fest alongside the live music, the kid zone, vendors, and community resources,” said Meagan Williamson, director of Robertson County Recovery Fest. “Recovery Rumble is another way to bring people together, celebrate recovery, and remind everyone that ‘Recovery is the Real Fight’ — and we’re all in this fight together!”
Representatives from Freeman Recovery Center also attended the event, connecting with community members and sharing information about addiction recovery resources.
“We partner with events like Recovery Fest because recovery happens in the community, not just in a clinic,” said Shawn Baker, CEO and founder of Freeman Recovery Center.
Robertson County Recovery Fest is held annually in observance of National Recovery Month.
