Kinda Spoopy is the perfect weekend for any festival-goer. Your schedule will be filled with killer new music, best frenemies, arts to activate the mind, food to feed the soul, and more!
What is “spoopy”?
Sitting in between horror and humor, fun and fear…there sits a space in perfect balance of all things Halloweeny. “Spoopy”, which is born from a typo on a cheaply made product, embodies everything the event organizers wish to be when it comes to a haunted-ish music festival. Scary meets silly!
This year marks the fifth year of Kinda Spoopy and this is the year of Vampires Versus Voodoo! Only one of these evil factions will win the destined conflict. The question is whether your side will win or lose. Your destiny is up to you…
Throughout the festival there will be five “Faction Battles”. One on Thursday, two on Friday, and two on Saturday. In each battle, factions will earn points that will be totaled throughout the weekend. On Saturday night, one faction will seal the deal and claim victory over the weekend. Members of the winning faction will receive a special trinket to be announced at the beginning of the festival.
Beyond the battles, the faction is purely for theming your campsite and outfits, and a fun way to instigate a fake rivalry.
People who buy tickets at the gate will be randomly assigned their faction to help keep a balance between the two.
The weekend is also full of music; it is a multi-genre fest. Guests may go directly from a bluegrass band to a deep house DJ set.
