The City of Springfield’s 1st Fridays event series wraps up the season with a final event on October 3, featuring live music by Ten Year Town. 1st Fridays takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. on the first Friday of each month May through October.

The community is invited to stroll through historic downtown Springfield and enjoy an evening of shopping, dining, and live music. This free, family-friendly event series includes food trucks, a kids’ zone sponsored by Springfield Chick-fil-A, The Farmers Bank, and the Robertson County Family YMCA; a specialty vehicle cruise-in, and over 80 local vendors. The vendors will include farmers, artists, makers, bakers, crafters, boutiques, local businesses, and downtown merchants.

“After two successful 1st Friday events in a row—each drawing over 4,000 attendees—we’re excited to host the final event of the year,” said Madie McCormick, Tourism and Main Street Coordinator for the City of Springfield. “We are thankful for our monthly event sponsor, United Community Bank, for making the event possible. Events like 1st Fridays not only bring the community together but also support local business and spotlight what makes Springfield truly special to visitors and residents alike.”

Live music will begin at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and their best dancing shoes to enjoy the sounds of fall.

This year’s event series is made possible by these generous sponsors: United Community Bank, Historic Perk Coffee Shope, Our Serenity Shop, Viridian Real Estate Partners, The Credit Union for Robertson County, Springfield Chick-fil-A, The Farmers Bank, and Robertson County Family YMCA.
