Dolly seems to be everywhere and doing all sorts of projects this year – opening a hotel in Nashville and debuting a musical about her life– but a duet with Motley Crue wasn’t something we expected.
Dolly teamed up with Motley Crue to release a new “Home Sweet Home” version with an accompanying music video celebrating its 40 years after its release. The new song will also benefit Covenant House, a nonprofit that provides shelter and meals to the homeless.
Motley Crue shared on social media, “It’s HERE. “HOME SWEET HOME” Featuring Dolly Parton — the new single from our upcoming definitive Greatest Hits Collection ‘From The Beginning’. A portion of the proceeds from “HOME SWEET HOME” Featuring Dolly Parton benefits Covenant House International – a cause close to our hearts.”
In a statement to Variety, Dolly shared, “It was an honor and a joy working in the studio on Mötley Crüe’s 40th Anniversary re-release of ‘Home Sweet Home.’ I was so pleased that they would ask me to sing on such a classic.”
