The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office seized cash, firearms and illegal narcotics from a Springfield market during an investigation into the sale of THC products to minors.
Detectives executed a search warrant at Daniel’s Market on Oct. 23, 2026, as part of the investigation.
Investigators determined that the store’s owner, Michael Youssef Shafek, 45, would retrieve substances from a concealed area upon request to keep the products out of view inside the store, according to the sheriff’s office.
The case will be presented to the Robertson County Grand Jury for consideration of formal criminal charges.
“Our Sheriff’s Office team remains committed to protecting the citizens of Robertson County and keeping illegal drugs out of our community and away from our youth,” Sheriff Michael Van Dyke said. He also commended deputies for their work and said the office would continue working to keep residents safe.
