UPDATE: 6/26 9:30 a.m. – Total estimated clearance time of I-65 SB at mm 113 is now 1 p.m. At least 100 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled, resulting in a lengthy cleanup. Traffic continues to move slowly in the left lane.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a serious crash involving two tractor trailers on I-65 South near mile marker 113. The incident has shut down all southbound lanes as of Thursday morning.
According to officials, drivers should expect significant delays and are being directed to a detour at mile marker 117 while responders work to clear the wreckage and investigate the scene.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. No information on injuries has been released at this time. Updates will be provided as more details become available.
