The U.S. Census Bureau is hiring for a Field Representative to support the 2025 Special Census in White House.
Applicants selected will have their home as their Duty Station and will be required to travel throughout their local area.
The starting rate is $28/hr. The position offers flexible schedules and paid training.
Job duties include:
- Conduct interviews primarily in person (door to door) and when requested, may conduct phone interviews to Special Census data as required within an assigned geographic area.
- Communicating with respondents, supervisors, and other persons as appropriate.
- Understanding Special Census materials in order to explain the purpose of the Special Census, ask questions as worded on the questionnaire and enter accurate and complete information onto Special Census forms.
- Canvass and travel around an area in an organized manner to find and verify living quarters.
- Maintain personal payroll records that reflect hours worked, miles driven, and reimbursements for travel and communications claimed.
- Complete and attend in-person training.
