Nashville International Airport’s BNA Aviation Golf Classic celebrated its 30th anniversary Oct. 7 with a record-breaking year of fundraising for local nonprofit organizations.
The annual tournament brought together 38 teams and 152 players at Hermitage Golf Course. This year’s event also featured its first-ever celebrity team, including former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kevin Dyson and former NBA player Monta Ellis.
The tournament supports organizations serving people and families across Middle Tennessee. The 2026 beneficiaries included the ALS Association’s Tennessee Chapter, the Gary Sinise Foundation, the Japan-America Society of Tennessee and Room In The Inn.
The ALS Association provides support and advocacy for people living with ALS while funding research into treatments and a cure. The Gary Sinise Foundation supports military members, veterans, first responders and their families. The Japan-America Society of Tennessee promotes cultural exchange and supports its annual Cherry Blossom Festival, while Room In The Inn provides services and housing programs for people experiencing homelessness.
“Reaching the 30-year milestone of the BNA Aviation Golf Classic speaks to the enduring support behind this event,” said Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. “This milestone year highlights not only our long-standing commitment to service, but our continued dedication to supporting organizations that strengthen Middle Tennessee.”
Hensel Phelps served as the tournament’s title sponsor. Additional sponsors included Fentress Studios, FINN Partners, Fraport USA, HMSHost by Avolta, Hudson by Avolta, Kimley-Horn and Messer Construction.
The airport authority plans to announce the final fundraising total in the coming months during a commemorative check presentation at BNA, where airport leaders and representatives from the beneficiary organizations will gather to recognize the tournament’s impact.
The BNA Aviation Golf Classic has supported community organizations for three decades, bringing together aviation industry professionals, local leaders and other participants to raise funds for nonprofit causes across Middle Tennessee.
