The Blue Raiders struck first on Jacob Hathaway’s 27-yard field goal and trailed just 14-10 at halftime after Damonte Smith’s first career interception set up Nicholas Vattiato’s 4-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Tipton.
Wisconsin’s depth showed after the break, outscoring Middle Tennessee 28-0 in the second half.
Key Performances:
- Muaaz Byard led the defense with a career-high 9 tackles
- Nahzae Cox had a breakout game with 75 receiving yards on 3 catches
- Vattiato went 20-for-31 for 197 yards and a touchdown
