A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that left a Springfield man dead, Smokey Barn News Reports.
The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Devin D. Dowlen of Springfield.
According to police, officers responded at approximately 12:37 p.m. to reports of shots fired near the intersection of 21st Avenue East and Carter Street. When officers arrived, they found Dowlen deceased at the scene.
Springfield Police identified the suspect as D’Angelo Qualon Petties Jr., who was taken into custody and booked into the Robertson County Detention Facility. Officials said he is being held without bond.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
