Tennessee State falls short against Alabama A&M 21-23

September 13, 2025 – Tennessee State (1-3, 0-0) dropped a heartbreaking 21-23 decision to Alabama A&M (3-1, 1-0) at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, squandering a 21-13 halftime lead in front of 10,208 fans.

The Tigers dominated the second quarter, scoring 21 unanswered points to take control of the game. Kendric Rhymes capped off a 75-yard drive with a five-yard touchdown run, followed by Zack Simmons-Brown’s explosive 27-yard scoring dash that put TSU ahead 14-10.
