Yvonne Manners, age 83, of Greenbrier, TN, went to be home with the lord on March 13th, 2025, at White House Healthcare. Yvonne was born in Nashville, TN on January 29th, 1942, to the late Mary and Emery Vaughn. She is also preceded in death by her brothers Jackie and Johnny Vaughn.
Yvonne is reunited in heaven with her husband of 60 years Donald Manners, and her sons Donald “Donnie” Manners and Joey Manners. She is survived by her son Rickie Manners, her grandchildren Mark and Keenan Manners, and her great grandson Phoenix. She is also survived by her brother Bobby Vaughn and sister Betty Johnson. Although she is gone, her memory will forever reside within them.
Yvonne was a loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of strong Christian faith, which was reflected by her friendliness which she was known for. A longtime member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Greenbrier, TN; she often showed her kindness and caring demeanor through home cooked meals. Food was a love language for Yvonne, making sure that members of her church and community were fed properly through the Meals on Wheels program with the church. This is something that she would go on to do for over 25 years, until she was no longer able.
In her free time, she enjoyed sewing. Yvonne would make all types of clothing. She would quilt blankets; she would even go on to make a few wedding dresses as well, showcasing her talents. In fact, she enjoyed sewing so much that in her lifetime she would end up with nine sewing machines. She would use them to create simple stitches or even craft beautiful embroideries.
As we remember the life of such a kind and caring woman, we remember the beautiful life she was able to create for herself and her family. No services are to be scheduled for Mrs. Yvonne Manners.
