Roaena Bedwell Ham, age 87 of Cleveland, TN and formerly of Robertson County, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at her home. Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 11am until 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
A graveside service will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Franklin, TN at 3pm.
Mrs. Ham was born December 25, 1937 to Glenn and Mabel Thacker Bedwell, she was the oldest of her siblings. She met and married Bobby Joe Ham and they had three daughters.
Mrs. Ham loved so many things, one of which was bowling. Her average was over 190 when she retired, plus she was swinging a 16-pound ball at only 5’2″. Cards were another hobby she was ‘cut throat’ at. Playing the game of Rook, oh, baby, she was merciless with that Red One! She could make and sew anything from just looking at a picture. Her girls were the talk of the town with their handmade clothes. There were porcelain dolls and ceramics plus her word search, and of course, Atlanta baseball games, and man, oh, man, she loved her LA Lakers basketball.
Mrs. Ham is survived by her daughters, Deborah Gale Ham (Larry) Schomaker, Diane Ham Tweed, and Denise Ham (Jimmy) Myers; 4 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, plus 9 great-grandchildren.
Run the heavens, waving and talking to all you see, Mom. We’ll be fine until we’re all together again.
