Marcia Russell Nelson, age 91, of Springfield, passed from this life on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at her home.
Ms. Marcia was born February 17, 1932, in Springfield, MA, to the late Herbert W. and Josephine Dean Russell.
She was a graduate of Classical High School in Springfield, MA. She was a retired secretary with the Friendly Ice Cream company in Springfield, MA. Ms. Marcia was a volunteer with the NorthCrest Auxiliary for over 25 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John A. “Jack” Nelson.
Ms. Marcia is survived by her son: James A. “Jim” Nelson of Springfield, by her daughter and son-in-law: Lynne Marie and Joseph Mazzie of Springfield, MA, and by her 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, October 12th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home. https://www.robertsoncountyfuneralhome.com
