Ms. Linda J Stroud Moore age 79 of Cunningham, TN passed away December 31, 2024.
She was born February 11, 1945 in Ft. Bragg, NC to the late William Frederick and Thelma Aline Stroud.
Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by children, Burt Watson, Teresa Watson, David Watson and Marcus Moore; 6 siblings.
Linda is survived by daughters, Kimberly Adkins and Connie (Ronald) Garcia; sons, Michael Moore, William “Shawn” Moore and Robert (Vicki Kanefsky) Moore along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Jody (Tim) Roberts and Ann Meadows; brother, Jim (Dennise) Stroud.
Linda worked in the food industry her entire working career between working at Pargo’s to Shoney’s to Highland Café.
At 67 years old she went to school to obtain her GED to show that you always finish what you started. She graduated salutatorian.
She loved to read. Linda was stern and transparent with her words and actions, and you always knew where you stood with her.
She had 9 children, and many “adopted” children and each one loved and respected her. Her motto was “just put another bean in the pot”.
She taught her children to have a great work ethic and to “never judge a book by its cover”.
She was strong, a wonderful mother and the matriarch of the family. Her biggest accomplishment was her family.
